1992 N.E.R.A. League Results and Standings
PaperBoys Deliver Championship!
The PaperBoys took advantage of rising stars like Albert Belle, Juan Gonzalez, Greg Maddux and Travis Fryman to win the 1992 N.E.R.A. League championship. The San Francisco Hunks were their nearest rival, contending all the way into the last week of the season. The Tax Evaders (now the Schiffer Brains) were the league's worst team... which prompted the name change! Only one record set in 1992 remains unbroken, that for lowest ERA. The Horny Toads, led by Roger Clemens, had a 1.10 ERA. Interestingly enough, the Horny Toads tied that mark in the 1995 season. Of the six teams playing the initial season, 3 are still playing today. (Horny Toads, PaperBoys and San Francisco Hunks)
